Celebrate Thanksgiving at a Poconos Family Resort

Nov 2, 2016

As one of the premiere luxury Poconos family resorts for nearly a century, Skytop has been bringing families together over the holidays for generations. Guests have been coming to Skytop to celebrate and give thanks since 1928.

At Skytop Lodge, the Thanksgiving festivities run from Wednesday, November 23 through Sunday, November 27. When you spend this Thanksgiving at Skytop, you will get much more than a meal. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide array of activities from hikes and flag football, to hayrides and marshmallow roasts.

Family Activities

The best part of the holidays is spending time with loved ones. At Skytop Lodge, we believe that Poconos family resorts should make it easy for families to come together. With our Turkey Scavenger Hunt, Candy Bar Bingo, themed arts and crafts, there are many opportunities for family members, young and old, to make memories together.

Nature Activities

Our resident naturalist, Rick Koval, will lead a variety of activities designed to showcase the singular, pristine 5,500-acre Skytop estate throughout the weekend. See some of Skytop’s year-round winged residents when Rick hosts a unique bird feeding opportunity. Every day of the holiday weekend, Rick will take guests on a guided exploration of the lake and waterfalls.

Thanksgiving Food

The Thanksgiving feasting at Skytop begins at 11:00 am in the Windsor Dining Room, where our annual Thanksgiving Buffet is available until 4:00 pm. In the spirit of family, we will offer a special Thanksgiving family-style dinner at the Lakeview Restaurant from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Additionally, an a-la-carte supper menu will be available from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm in the Windsor Dining Room. Reservations are requested for the dinner and supper.
This Thanksgiving, put your focus on those most important to you: family and loved ones. Let Skytop worry about the cooking, cleaning, and entertaining. This popular weekend fills up quickly. Contact us today to book your stay.
