If you enjoy golfing, there’s a good chance your child might have an interest in the game as well. Introducing kids to golf can help to foster a love for the sport for many years to come. This means more than just asking our kids to caddy for us or chase stray golf balls. It means putting a club in their hands and teaching them the fundamentals of the game. This summer, why not give your child the chance to learn how to play golf at Skytop Lodge in Poconos Mountains? We offer a variety of clinics that are open to both tweens and teens.
Our summer camp golf clinics are divided by age. We offer two sessions for children aged 10-14 and two sessions for children aged 14-17. Poconos locals and visitors are welcome to participate.
Each session is an all day summer camp program that lasts for five consecutive days. Camp begins at 9:00 am and lasts until 5:00 pm. we have four available sessions this summer:
Each day, kids will be taught the basics of golf. At the end of the week, there is a golf tournament that the entire family can watch and enjoy. Although the focus is on golf, we understand that kids thrive with a variety of experiences. As a result, we have designed the Sports Camps at Skytop Lodge with an array of activities for campers. Afternoon activities will vary by age, but include kickball, hiking, fishing, and rock climbing.
While your kids are learning the finer points of the game, why not take the time to play a few rounds of golf yourself? Our 18 hole championship links at Skytop Lodge were designed in the 1920s by the first president of the PGA, Robert White. Golf on the “top of the Poconos” at Skytop Lodge’s timeless course. After your kids have completed a golf clinic, why not play a round with them? Kids under 16 golf free at Skytop after 3 pm with a paying adult.
