Reopening Precautionary Response Measures to COVID-19*

Here at Skytop Lodge, the safety and wellbeing of our guests and employees is of the utmost importance. As such, we have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation as it unfolds across the globe and here in the United States, and are taking the necessary steps to bring peace of mind to everyone who walks through our doors. As we welcome our valued guests back beginning Monday, May 18, 2020, we will be implementing the following protocols:

  • Each employee will be screened upon entering the building using a touchless thermometer and adhering to CDC guidelines and recommendations.
  • All employees will wear masks throughout their shift.
  • Staff will be provided PPE for handling cash or credit card transactions.
  • Staggered shifts and breaks are required for all departments.
  • Skytop is promoting telework, when possible.

Protecting Our Guests and What To Expect

  • Every guest will be screened upon entering the building using a touchless thermometer.
    • Any guest who has a fever at or above 100.4º Fahrenheit will not be able to check into the hotel at this time.
  • All guests are required to supply their own masks and wear them in public areas outside of their guest room.
  • Additional hand sanitizing stations are available in public areas.
  • Plexiglass shields will be in all transactional locations such as the Front Desk, Concierge and any cashier locations.
  • All guests are required to practice social distancing in public areas. A reduced number of guests will be allowed in each outlet.
  • Rooms will only be serviced upon check-out, however additional in-room amenities and fresh towels will be provided upon request throughout your stay.
  • Temporarily, some of our amenities will be unavailable such as valet service, afternoon tea & cookies, fitness center, etc. View available amenities here.

Cleanliness

  • We will be taking additional efforts to deep clean guestrooms, public spaces and high-touch areas using hospital grade chemicals that adhere to CDC and EPA guidelines.
  • Guestrooms will be sealed after cleaning and sanitization to ensure that no one reenters before the new guest arrives.
  • When occupancy permits, guestrooms will have at least 24 hours between guest stays.

Dining Protocols

  • Beginning May 18th, Taproom, Windsor, Corner Roast and Callaway’s will offer carry-out.
  • High-touch surfaces will be cleaned at least once every hour using disinfectants that adhere to EPA guidelines.
  • All containers, utensils, napkins and condiments are for single-use for all take-out options.
  • Decals will be used to designate social distancing for customers.
  • Menus will be available outside of each outlet, eliminating any unnecessary touchpoints.
  • If paying by credit card, your card will be disinfected prior to being returned.
  • All Food & Beverage Managers and Chefs are ServSafe certified.
  • Each employee will be screened upon entering the building using a touchless thermometer and adhering to CDC guidelines and recommendations.
  • All employees will wear masks and gloves throughout their shift.
  • Employees will practice social distancing in both the front and back of house, using designated workstations to minimize contact.

Activity Protocols

Flexible Booking/Cancellation Policies

  • Stay dates may be changed with no rebooking fee through June 30th.
  • Our summer cancellation policy has been revised for reservations in June through the end of August. If you wish to cancel your reservation less than ten (10) days prior to arrival, your options include:
    • Keep your deposit on file for a future reservation, which must be made within one year of your original arrival date.
    • Move your reservation to a new date and a $25 change fee will apply.
    • If you choose to cancel in full, your deposit will be forfeited.
  • All holidays for the remainder of 2020 will have a ten (10) day cancellation policy versus the original 30 days.
