Yoga and Hoop Dance Weekend

Not only is hoop dance fun, but you can burn up to 600 calories in an hour – that’s as much as a one hour run!   Hoop Dance refers to artistic movement and dancing with a full-sized hula hoop. The hoops we will use are larger than children’s hoops, generally about 3-4ft in diameter and weighing about 2 lbs. With the right instruction, even those who could never hula hoop as a child find they are able to keep the hoop going around their waist with ease for extended periods. Most hoopers experience an overwhelming sense of joy and accomplishment while hooping and their laughs may be contagious!

Come give a hoop a whirl! Join us for free hooping, we’ll supply music and hoops, you supply the hips!

Restorative Yoga/Meditation Class

Invite your body to unwind from your travels with a Gentle Restorative class. Restorative Yoga is a quiet, deeply nourishing practice that is appropriate for everyone, no yoga experience needed. Pose are done by laying passively over props and your body begins to let go of tension one breath at a time, a great way to start your weekend.

Saturday March 23
Morning Kripalu
Come wake up your body with a Moderate Kripalu Yoga Class. Kripalu Yoga is the yoga of compassion, listening to your body and practice yoga poses that are modified for your needs.

Kids Hooping
(Ages 4 and up)
We’ll cover the basics of hooping and how to keep the hoop going around your waist. You’ll learn some fun tricks to impress your friends and then we’ll play some games!

Introduction to Adult Hoop Dance
We’ll begin with light stretching and breathwork leading into a class covering hoop dance FUNdamentals. From the waist to the hands, we’ll dance and move and burn some calories!

Early Evening Kripalu
Unwind from the day with a Moderate Kripalu. Kripalu Yoga is the yoga of compassion, listening to your body and practice yoga poses that are modified for your needs.

Sunday March 23
